Nobody rebuilds completely alone.
We like to tell stories about self made success.
The reality is different.
At some point during every difficult season, someone offered support.
A mentor.
A coach.
A friend.
A spouse.
A coworker.
Somebody reminded you of who you were when you had forgotten.
That’s why environment matters so much during a rebuild.
The wrong people reinforce your doubt.
The right people reinforce your potential.
One conversation can change direction.
One person can change perspective.
One voice can interrupt a destructive story you’re telling yourself.
Confidence grows faster when you’re surrounded by people who see more in you than you currently see in yourself.
Choose those people carefully.
They’re often part of the comeback.
