People often ask me how confidence comes back.
My answer surprises them.
It usually has very little to do with huge accomplishments.
Confidence grows every time you keep a promise to yourself.
You said you’d go to the gym.
You went.
You said you’d make the difficult phone call.
You made it.
You said you’d apply for the job.
You did.
Those moments seem small.
They’re not.
Every kept promise tells your brain something important.
“I can trust myself.”
That’s confidence.
Not arrogance.
Not ego.
Trust.
The fastest way to rebuild confidence isn’t chasing bigger victories.
It’s becoming someone who consistently does what they said they were going to do.
Trust yourself enough to keep today’s promise.
Tomorrow gets easier.
Helping people rebuild self trust is one of the foundations of my work. Learn more at kinneyconfidence.com.
