One thing I’ve noticed about people going through difficult seasons is this:
They’re usually terrible at predicting their own resilience.
They assume they’ll never recover.
Never feel confident again.
Never enjoy work again.
Never trust again.
Then six months later, they’re doing things they couldn’t even imagine during the hardest days.
Why?
Because resilience is difficult to measure while you’re living through adversity.
When you’re inside the storm, you can’t see beyond it.
But storms move.
So do people.
The version of you reading this today is already stronger than the version of you that first experienced your setback.
You may not feel it.
Growth rarely announces itself.
It simply shows up one day and you realize you’re handling things that once overwhelmed you.
Never underestimate your ability to recover.
History suggests you’re better at it than you think.
